Our Instructor Qualifications- Better than the Rest!
Our Instructors here at the Academy are the Best Qualified- in any Activity- Period!
I realize that after I said this that this may come across as overly outlandish… but it’s true! before I go into detail how our instructors here at the academy are as qualified as they are, I want to point out how poorly and sometimes dangerously trained some people are prior to working with you or your children. Often times many people who work with kids are:
- Are not background checked by third party independent companies
- Are not CPR certified (important in case of emergencies)
- Have little to no supervised instruction – often they are just practitioners of the sport (like they played football or played baseball. In martial arts they might be a black belt).
- They often haven’t had any formal training in how to teach.
it can be a little scary knowing that there are instructors out there who don’t even meet at least ONE of these prerequisites, especially when it comes to working with kids.
In order to become a certified instructor here at Yi’s Karate of Vineland, we follow closely along with the curriculum that our association- the IMA- requires, specific to having having background checks completed as well as the minimum requirements for being CPR certified for our Black Belt instructors. We also require our instructors to have at minimum 300 hours of formal supervised live instruction as well as hours upon hours of classroom work.
In addition to that, our curriculum is designed by our chief master instructor Master Vertolli and head instructor Master Llabres from white belt ( our beginner rank for those new to our art!) all the way to 9th degree Black Belt (which is a LONG time of training!) We know and plan our teaching so far in advance the instructors know EXACTLY what they are doing and can train on what to teach so they continue to be the best.
The last thing I want to highlight with our instructors is our Ethics and Conduct at the Academy. We uphold the highest ethical standards and promote a positive learning environment. We also prioritize the well-being and safety of our students, adhere to the code of conduct of the IMA, and demonstrate respect and integrity.
Nobody else does this or even comes close to following these types of standards. As a result of all this, this makes our instructors the best in Martial Arts and I also feel the best outside of academic institutions (teachers are awesome!)
So if you are reading this and still aren’t sure or can’t believe it, call us and take a FREE lesson at our academy. We are a Black Belt School and adhere to the best standards possible!
